Possible Perimeter Fence Purchase

I used to think that the very best perimeter fence possible is woven wire with a top rail. But I've been hearing that Horse Guard electric fence is an even safer fencing option! possible perimeter fence purchase - HorseGuard

Hmmn, I like electric fence because I know that I can do the installation. But my nice Intellirope from Premiere 1 lacks the solid appearance I'm looking for to separate my paddock paradise from the road. The wide brown polyethylene HG tape has a pretty nice look to it. And it should also work to keep my dogs contained if we put the bottom rail low enough.

Here are the estimated figures I came up with for a five-strand bipolar fence with solar charger from HorseGuard. This is with using my own wooden posts. I could change to the fancy t-post sleeves for an extra $1,200. But, I could even keep it under budget if I went with a four-strand.

Looks like the only question left is whether to make my own fence posts from the many trees on the property, or use plain t-posts for their ease of installation. I *could* add the sleeves later...

Whatcha think?
